Designed for practical work

Quoting tools that fit electrical work.

From a small service job to a larger installation, a detailed quote helps customers understand the scope and gives your team a consistent record.

Separate labour and materials

Itemise installation labour, fittings, switchgear, cable, equipment and other project costs clearly.

Clarify the scope

Describe the work included, site assumptions, access requirements and exclusions before the customer approves.

Keep site contacts organised

Store customer, company, phone, email, address and notes with the related quote history.

Move accepted work forward

Record the customer response and convert an accepted electrical quote into an invoice.

Try the whole job

See what happens after you hit send.

Play the customer: open the quote, type a name and sign it. Then record a deposit and the final payment. It takes 30 seconds and nothing is saved.

Step 1 of 3: This is the email Sarah gets. Open the quote as them.

Useful workflow guidance

Building a clearer electrical quote

The right level of detail reduces avoidable questions and makes it easier for the customer to compare the proposed work with their needs.

  1. 01
    Describe the installation or repair

State the location, proposed work and expected outcome in plain language.

  2. 02
    Itemise significant costs

Separate meaningful labour, materials, equipment or call-out components where useful.

  3. 03
    Record assumptions and exclusions

Explain access, existing-condition or supply assumptions that could affect the quoted work.

  4. 04
    Set validity and payment expectations

Include the validity period, deposit expectations and payment terms appropriate to the job.

  5. 05
Give the customer a clear approval path

Send the quote with a secure link so the customer can review and respond.

A better customer experience

Professional presentation without rebuilding every document

Saved business details and quote defaults help keep electrical documents consistent while still allowing each job to be customised.

Wattlebase supports the quoting workflow; licensing, electrical safety, tax and contract obligations remain the responsibility of the business.

Common questions

What small businesses ask

Can I add both labour and materials?

Yes. Add separate line items with descriptions, quantities and unit prices.

Can I include GST?

Yes. GST can be enabled when it applies to your business and quote.

Can a customer sign the quote online?

Yes. The secure quote page supports a customer name, signature and accept or decline response.

Does it handle electrical invoicing and billing too?

Yes. Turn the accepted quote into an electrical invoice, email it with a Pay now button, record cash or bank transfer payments, see what is overdue and send invoices to Xero.

Can I keep my CCEW or CES with the job?

Yes. Mark a job as needing a certificate (NSW CCEW, VIC CES or another), add its number, date and file, and show the number on the invoice. Wattlebase keeps your record; it doesn’t lodge certificates with the state.

Can my customers pay by card?

Yes. Connect your own Stripe account and invoices and deposits get a Pay now button for card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The money goes to your bank, the invoice marks itself paid, and Wattlebase takes no cut.

Can my staff use it too?

Yes. The Team plan is $39 AUD a month for up to 5 people. Invite staff with Owner, Office or Field access and assign jobs to them; field workers see their jobs without the prices.

Is there a Wattlebase app for my phone?

Yes. There’s nothing to download from an app store. Open wattlebase.com.au on your phone and add it to your home screen in two taps, and it opens full screen like any other app.

What if there’s no phone signal on site?

Keep working. Quotes and customers you create with no signal are saved on your phone and upload automatically when you’re back in range. Sending and PDFs wait until you’re online.
