Designed for practical work

A clearer path from sent to accepted.

Online acceptance gives the customer a focused response experience and keeps the result connected to the quote in your workspace.

Secure quote link

Each sent quote can include a dedicated link for the customer to review and respond.

Name and signature

Accepted quotes can record the customer name, electronic signature and response time.

Accept or decline

The customer can communicate a clear decision while the quote status updates in Wattlebase.

Response history

Retain the acceptance or decline event with the document rather than relying on a separate email chain.

Try the whole job

See what happens after you hit send.

Play the customer: open the quote, type a name and sign it. Then record a deposit and the final payment. It takes 30 seconds and nothing is saved.

Useful workflow guidance

How online quote acceptance works

The process is designed to keep the decision easy for the customer and visible for the business.

  1. 01
    Finish and review the quote

Confirm the scope, customer, pricing, validity and terms before sending.

  2. 02
    Email the quote

Wattlebase sends the customer a PDF and a secure link to the response page.

  3. 03
    Customer reviews the document

The response page presents the quote details and available decision clearly.

  4. 04
    Customer records their decision

For acceptance, the customer enters their name and electronic signature before confirming.

  5. 05
    Wattlebase updates the record

The quote status and response event are saved so the business can continue the workflow.

A better customer experience

Reduce the friction of printing, signing and scanning

A simple online response is especially useful when customers are away from a printer or reviewing the quote on a phone.

Electronic acceptance requirements can depend on the transaction and circumstances. Obtain appropriate legal advice for high-value or specialised contracts.

Common questions

What small businesses ask

Does the customer need a Wattlebase account?

No. The customer responds through the secure quote link without creating a Wattlebase account.

Is a signature required to accept?

Wattlebase asks the customer for their name and electronic signature when recording acceptance.

Can the customer decline the quote?

Yes. The response page offers both accept and decline decisions when the quote is awaiting a response.

Can an accepted quote become an invoice?

Yes. After acceptance, the business can convert the quote into an invoice snapshot.

Can the customer pay a deposit when they accept?

Yes. If the quote asks for a deposit and the business has online payments switched on, the customer can pay it by card straight after accepting.

Can my customers pay by card?

Yes. Connect your own Stripe account and invoices and deposits get a Pay now button for card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The money goes to your bank, the invoice marks itself paid, and Wattlebase takes no cut.

Can my staff use it too?

Yes. The Team plan is $39 AUD a month for up to 5 people. Invite staff with Owner, Office or Field access and assign jobs to them; field workers see their jobs without the prices.

Is there a Wattlebase app for my phone?

Yes. There’s nothing to download from an app store. Open wattlebase.com.au on your phone and add it to your home screen in two taps, and it opens full screen like any other app.

What if there’s no phone signal on site?

Keep working. Quotes and customers you create with no signal are saved on your phone and upload automatically when you’re back in range. Sending and PDFs wait until you’re online.
