What to order
Each area
- A guide only. Measure on site and check with the supplier: weights change with the product and how wet it is, and what one yard calls a bulk bag another fills by weight.
- Weights use about 1.3 t a m³ for soil, 0.4 for mulch, 1.6 for sand and gravel and 1.8 for road base. Change the t/m³ on an area to match the supplier.
- Road base and crushed rock compact by 20% or more, so allow at least 20 to 25% extra for a compacted base. Turf is rounded up to whole square metres.
