What you’re pouring
Add each slab, path, footing or pier. Use “How many” for repeats, like six piers the same size. Everything stays on this device.
Waste, trucks and bags
Allow extra for uneven ground, formwork bowing and what’s left in the chute.

Each pour
- A guide only. Measure on site: ground that isn’t level, thickenings, edge beams and over-dug footings all add concrete. Footing, slab and reinforcement sizes come from the engineer’s drawings and AS 2870 or AS 3600, not this calculator.
- Check the plant’s smallest load, short-load fee and truck sizes before booking. Bag yield is on the bag; a 20 kg bag makes roughly 0.009 to 0.01 m³.
- Mesh counts standard 6 × 2.4 m sheets, lapped by one 200 mm square each way (12.76 m² of cover a sheet), for the slabs ticked. Add extra for cuts on odd shapes.
